A while back I blogged about the Domhnach Airgid, an artefact in the National Museum which is a shrine for a manuscript of the Gospels. It turns out that the actual manuscript itself is on view this week in the library of the Royal Irish Academy:
On display this week: Domnach Airgid (c. 8th century) Written in Latin. A copy of the Vulgate Version of the Gospels including miniature drawings of the Evangelists. The silver shrine in which the manuscript was found is now in @NMIreland. #ManuscriptMonday pic.twitter.com/YGWZY8zTkO
